Commercial construction is booming, and with many exciting projects in the pipeline Fosters is recruiting an experienced Carpenter to join our team.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will take responsibility and be accountable for constructing commercial buildings.
- Demonstrate a commitment to onsite Health and Safety, in line with company policy
- Apply a broad practical working knowledge of commercial construction
- Take responsibility for the performance of others through supervision and mentoring
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and delivery of exception quality and results
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to specification
About you
As a Carpenter you will have:
- A New Zealand Trade or relevant carpentry qualification
- Practical working knowledge of the fundamentals required in the carpentry trade
- Appropriate commercial building experience
- A genuine commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability at interpreting drawings and plans
- Ability to work well on your own or as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to mentor apprentices
- Exceptional time management – the ability to prioritise work and deliver to deadlines
- A valid NZ Driver’s Licence
