Department of Corrections

The Department of Corrections is a long standing client of Foster Construction and we have worked on a number of projects with them. 150 London Street was development which allowed the DoC to amalgamate several offices from around Hamilton.

The project was a partial demolition of construction on a single level open plan office with numerous offices and breakout spaces. It also had a training facility purpose built that allowed the rehabilitation of their clients.

The building had a structural steel frame that had an envelope of mixed claddings and substrates. A clear storey was also formed in the roof space that introduced day light to the centre of the 3,000m2 development.
